The only people who really resent ads are the people who can’t get people to pay them for what they make. It’s an ugly fact, but true. I don’t put ads on my blog because I find another way to fund the time, not because ads are immoral. There are other examples of people with similar attitudes (Fugazi, et al), but they are just out there doing their thing. If you want to draw parallels between the ‘morality’ of Fugazi, and that of Gawker, well, god that will be the smallest Meet-Up ever.
Hey, that’s my Meet-Up! Also, I’d like to think my personal anti-ad stance is both a moral and realistic self-assessment. Nothing I write is worth more than a squirt of piss.
