This got lost in my personal news cycle but it’s pretty exciting. My friend Mike Tully’s film, Septien, which I am executive producer (meaning I wrote a check and got drunk on set), was selected to premiere at Sundance as part of the Park City at Midnight category. It’s a non-competition category that mainly features low-budget horror films and raunchy comedies. Septien is neither. To be honest, I have no idea what people will make of it. It’s weird, for sure, but I think they’ve spun something really special with the story and characters. Beautifully shot to boot which is where most of the money went - film, not digital. Anyway, I’m looking forward to going and Mike does a nice job of summing up our feelings on this bittersweet accomplishment.
