Ricky Camilleri and I did a series of video interviews for BlackBook that profiles weekly comedy shows (one for each day, Monday through Friday) in New York. The first one features Kristen Schaal and Kurt Braunohler who host Hot Tub at Littlefield in Brooklyn on Monday nights.

On a side note, some friends have asked why I did this, as I have not interviewed anyone for publication since Gothamist and Gawker in 2004. Good question without a good answer but it started when I wanted to help promote Anthony Atamanuik and John Gemberling’s hilarious and darkly absurd Tony & Johnny Show where you can usually find me on Tuesday nights sitting somewhere near the back. Ricky, who shot and edited the videos, previously worked at HuffPo’s now defunct comedy site 23/6 and talked me into doing four more. I really like how they turned out so credit/blame him where appropriate.
