What started off as a really unnerving experience, slowly morphed into a wonderful and almost serene experience. I recommend that everyone (safely) find the time to explore the darkness before the power comes back on at 11p tomorrow evening. Go in groups and you will definitely need a flashlight. Also, the shuttles are much less packed in the later part of the evening if you don’t want to walk a bridge both ways.  Uh, disaster tourism for the sake of “exploring the darkness” isn’t really needed now. If you come to the area, please be prepared to volunteer with recovery efforts or spend lots of cash in the few businesses that have managed to remain open.
