Perhaps some of you are taken aback by YM’s brand of militant philanthropy and selfless volunterrorism. It’s true, the backpack I wear to a before-school science club on Wednesdays is explosive… with LOVE and CARE. (Relax Katie, deep breaths.) We recognize how uncomfortable and inadequate this grandstanding can make less-giving others feel, maybe we even revel in it, but desperate times call for desperate measures. We will not give up a fight worth fighting and we will not give up on YOU. Wanna make Obama’s presidency truly historic and get him reelected? Put your blog down and go volunteer for a worthy cause.
In related news, Jolie has offered to ramp up efforts to get the High Man on the Tumblr Totem Pole, Alex Balk, to volunteer. God knows what she has planned, but we recommend lots of duct tape and a catcher’s mask. We suspect it will be a struggle but once we get him on board, we’re sure others will follow. Or reblog.
