![Pity the poor 20-foot tall woman on Rockaway Turnpike. Not only did she not have any clothing for the last year and a half since the billboard went up but, at the end of the month, she is going to be homeless.
The Platinum Club, which owned the sign considered an eyesore by many residents, was closed down last month for failing to pay in excess of $200,000 in back rent. The billboard is set to be taken down at the end of May when the club is to be evicted.
New York City Councilman James Sanders credits the legal harassment effort against the owners of the club by former legislator Jeffrey Toback as well as his own efforts with the local community board to block the club from renewing its liquor license. The owner is currently fighting that decision in court. “Without selling liquor the so-called gentleman’s club cannot survive,” said Sanders. “This was the Achilles heels and the death of this club.”[The Jewish Star, image via NYDN]](http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l33c2vPV8L1qz81smo1_500.jpg)
